SplitTake
SplitTake is a speedrun timer for macOS, built on livesplit-core. I’m designing it specifically for Mac users who do speedruns.

Engine
- Powered by livesplit-core for accurate timing, split management, and comparisons
- Reads and writes
.lss(splits) and.lsl(layout) files for compatibility with LiveSplit for Windows and LiveSplit One
Controls
- Customizable global hotkeys for split, reset, undo, skip, and pause/resume
- Easily access important functions from the menu bar or context menus
- Control timer actions via Shortcuts
File management
- Can launch either with a list of recent split files, or immediately open the most recently used splits
- Automatically keeps track of which splits are associated with which layouts
Timer window
- No title bar (chromeless) and fully rectangular (no rounded corners)
- Can optionally float above other apps for easy window capture in streaming software like OBS
- Resizing the timer window snaps cleanly to whole segment rows
Layout editor
- Customize the look of the timer window (fonts, colors, etc.)
- Add, remove, and reorder components
Splits editor
- Add, remove, and reorder segments
- Edit segment times, names, and icons
- Support for importing comparisons
- Integration with Speedrun.com for game and category autocomplete, world record fetching, and cover art downloads
Accessibility
- Support for systemwide Accessibility features like Differentiate Without Color, Increase Contrast, and Reduce Transparency
- A splits color palette calibrated for deuter/protan/tritan vision
- VoiceOver support
